As a chef, Holland trained in France, and cooked at Bobby Flayâs Mesa Grill in Nyc. She worked at Le Théâtre in Berkeley, which has a French-Creole fusion menu. Holland is also the author of Innovative Soul Cooking: Updating a Cuisine Containing more Flavor and Tradition, and for 4 years was featured in the Food Networkâs “Melting Container Soul Kitchen. â She has appeared on The Today Show, Sarah Moultonâs Cooking Live, Ready, Set, Cook!, The Wayne Brady Exhibit, and The Jane Pauley Show. Holland has contributed to Food and Wine together with Signature Bride magazines, and been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Savoy, while others. Holland was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in the same hospital as her life partner, who she met inside Bay Area. As a young child, she said she lived in Rochester, New York, âfrom the age involving two, â and may be an Oakland resident since 2003.
