I went to work for a friend in his vegetarian restaurant in Santa Monica, CA and had been
hooked! I decided to take advantage of a chance to find a Cal Grant and go to Cal State Long Shore. There I met Chief cook Romane Britane who really inspired me to learn all I could and become a REAL chef. I left Long Beach through the LA riots and didn’t finish school, I was two weeks from graduation.
