Bio

I’m a system administrator, and I specialize with small infrastructures. That includes, according to my own personal invented standards, networks with less than around 200 hosts. I’ve ended up a sysadmin since all over 2002, when I became that Assistant Network Administrator of ISP in West Virginia. I eventually became the primary administrator there, and in the future moved to Columbus, OH where I took my current role as system administrator on the small risk management firm. I relocated to North/Central New jersey in the early component of 2009.

I am a web developer and process administrator by trade, and an electronics enthusiast by night. I don’t consider myself the best at what I complete, but I consider myself being pretty darn good. Development wise, I focus mostly on PHP and Perl and have been mixed up in creation of some well known brands developing web pages using Magento e-Commerce (my speciality) and WordPress (though I’m not in the liberty to name labels (white label, legitimate stuff), but if you happen to look hard enough, you’ll find them)

I am a Windows System Admin looking for a way to combine my research found on the many products I support. This blog will cover SharePoint, Deployment Toolkit, Active Directory, SQL Server, and other Microsoft Products.

I have been completely working as the Windows System Admin since December 2007. In that time May possibly implemented the Active Directory Infrastructure, SharePoint 2010, Windows 7, and upgraded the SQL Server Environment to version 2008 R2 and also other tasks and responsibilities.

Lets begin with a little bit about myself. My birthplace residence resides inside little town of Humphrey, NEW YORK, which is about 60 miles south of Buffalo, NY. Early on with my career, my location prevented people from advancing with technology as fast as i would have liked to. However, through determination together with perseverance, I have managed to get by with what little technology I was given. I inhabited a very rural community that had (and still has) about 800 residents and 1000s of acres of farm get. I have since relocated to Ny for a software advancement job, I live in Chelsea that’s in the lower part of Manhattan.

With 12 many years of application development and system administration, I have been completely immersed in many diverse situations in both the design and maintenance of complex computer systems. By using specification-driven design and development and by maintaining focus on the details, solutions are created for the customers that meet all their needs. I find particularly interesting those conditions require integrating into a current infrastructure; especially those problems that documentation may be wanting. I am also experienced in providing training and support for a ton of environments and systems.

For a Computer Geek, I’ve mine little network and computer lab in your house. I also admin mine mail and web server (the one that hosts this site), and develop my own web pages. For precisely what it’s worth, just about the only tools I useful to create the pages on this website were my brain and also the vi text editor (you don’t think I would the make image files with a text editor do you?smile. Amongst my bloke Computer Geeks I’ve on a regular basis been called the mire guy, because vi is my own favourite text editor and I’m always able to teach everyone something new about it. If you want to know more about vi, you may want to start here

I are in Raleigh, NC with my small network of computers. Since 2001, I have worked as a system administrator to get a web hosting company with Research Triangle Park, NC. After work, I make an effort to work on my programming skills and, unfortunately, tend to end up playing on-line computer games instead.

I’ve grown in place around computers. My first computer was a TI-99/4A home computer. I first started coding by keying in BASIC programs shipped with issues of the 99er magazine and, later, Home Pc Magazine. I have very fond memories of these programs, including a version of Battleship and then a logic puzzle Boolean Head (apparently available here if you have an emulator). Eventually, this gave me more than enough information to, along with a now-almost-dead TI Extended BASIC manual, start writing mine programs. I then made a jump to the IBM PC when I bought access to one of my own and started learning and using Turbo Pascal. In high school graduation, I learned to program in C over the school Macintoshes.
