The hacker group known as anonymous thugs posted a video on YouTube to publish the cell phone number, e-mail and home address of Lieutenant John Pike, University of California, Davis police official who led the outrage worldwide when he pepper-sprayed a group of student protesters at the weekend. “Dear Director John Pike,” a computer-generated voice on the video. “Your information is now public domain.” The video was posted on Tuesday, has since been removed because it is “a violation of YouTube’s policy to prohibit hate speech.” Anonymous has claimed responsibility and threatened attacks on a variety of media, including Fox News - but it seems to be the first group of hackers sent a person. “We have no problem targeting the police and the release of their information, even if it puts them in danger,” the group said, “because we want to experience just a taste of the brutality and misery, they serve us every day. “ |
